Two more communities are joining the Meaford Scarecrows and Family Festival.
Both Annan and Leith are now part of the scarecrow mania that invades this time of year.
Volunteers gather to build hundreds of scarecrows ahead of their fall invasion, parade, and festival.
This year, Annan and Leith volunteers will build on a party theme to celebrate the invasion’s 25th anniversary.
The plan is to have scarecrows dressed as musicians, singers, and members of a band at Leith Church, where summer concerts happen.
Meanwhile, in Annan, they plan is to have scarecrows gather at the Trinity United Church for a tea party, to celebrate fellowship and hospitality.
Scarecrows are set to invade downtown Meaford, Bognor, Annan, and Leith on September 6th, with a parade and family festival to follow on September 30th.
