The Town of Saugeen Shores is getting a new Director of Development Services.
The town says it will be welcoming Mark Paoli to the role this summer on June 24 as he brings over 30 years of planning experience to the office.
Paoli previously spent four years at the County of Bruce as the Director of Planning and Development.
The town says his expertise range from senior policy planning and geographical information systems, to economic development and administration of the development process.
The Director of Development Services leads all activities dealing with planning and building in the town, along with engineering services and asset management.
Paoli says he is happy to be part of such a thriving municipality.
“I believe that good planning and growth management are essential to providing effective infrastructure, quality services and healthy communities,” says Paoli.
Mayor Luck Charbonneau adds they are happy to have Paoli’s wealth of expertise in Saugeen Shores.
“His direct experience with land use planning here and across Bruce County will be a great asset as we continue to manage the growth of our community,” says Charbonneau.
The county says they are just starting the recruitment process to fill the position.
