The Lures N Lines Spring Trout Derby wrapped up on Sunday.
In all, the fishing derby raised $6,000 for the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen Association’s hatchery program. Thousands in cash prizes were doled out to the winners.
Here are the final results:
Top Rainbow Trout – Chris Yates @ 12.84 lbs – $2,100
Second-place Rainbow Trout – Mike Tousek @ 9.80 lbs (28.75″ long) – $540
Third-place Rainbow Trout – Chris Yates @ 9.80 lbs (28″ long) – $360
Top Brown – Brian Lang @ 9.62 lbs – $990
Top Lake Trout – Thomas Moore @ 13.90 lbs – $810
Top Salmon – Brad Tupman @ 11.44 lbs – $750
Top Youth – James Thompson – Salmon @ 10.2 lbs – $450
POW Castings Big Fish on Sunday was Thompon’s 10.2 lb salmon.
Fred Wallace spoke with Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen Association Past President Kevin Harders who was thrilled with the 2022 event.
