The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is kicking off its Catch the Ace Lottery in support of its Bring Tom To Town Computed TOMography (CT) scanner campaign.
Tickets will be on sale each week until Wednesday at 3pm. The weekly draw will take place every Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
Proceeds support the CT scanner fundraising campaign for the hospital in Southampton. The overall goal for the Bring TOM to Town campaign is $3 million. Currently, patients are sent to Owen Sound for a CT scan, which performs over 13,100 scans each year.
The hospital foundation says a CT scanner in Southampton would also help free up appointments in Owen Sound for more complex imaging, such as tests for stroke patients and cancer biopsies.
Catch the Ace Winners will be announced that morning on 97.9 The Bruce and posted on the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Facebook page as well as the website www.bringtomtotown.com
Tickets for the first round of the Bring Tom to Town Catch the Ace are now available at the following retail outlets in Port Elgin: Giant Tiger, Vanderwerf’s Independent, Home Hardware, and Ralph’s.
In Southampton, tickets can be purchased at Foodland, Home Hardware, and the Hospital Foundation Office.
You can also buy them at Tuggy’s Gas Bar on Highway 21.
A draw video will be posted on the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Facebook page.
Each week, one winner will be drawn.
If they do not select the envelope with the Ace of Spades in it, they will receive the weekly jackpot prize (20% of weekly ticket sales).
The Catch the Ace jackpot will grow each week (30% of weekly ticket sales get added to the jackpot each week) until someone catches the envelope containing the Ace of Spades.
The more tickets sold each week, the bigger the jackpot prizes will become.
The Bring Tom to Town Catch the Ace is supported by Laurentis Energy Partners and 97.9 The Bruce.
