The Arran-Elderslie U13 Ice Dogs are off to the OMHA Championships after winning the Western Ontario Athletic Association Lockridge title.
Arran-Elderslie won the WOAA Lockridge championship over BCH (Bayfield, Clinton, Hensall) with a 5-2 win in Game 2 of the series Wednesday night.
In Game 1 on Sunday in Tara, Arran-Elderslie skated to a 1-0 win.
Head coach Scott Price says he’s proud of the team’s effort through the regular season and playoffs.
“We support each other and apply relentless pressure to the opposing team. It has been key to our success and team development.” Scott says, “We’re not going to intimidate anyone with our size, so we use our speed and determination to play above our weight class.”
The Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs now advance to the OMHA Championships in Windsor from April 8-10.
