Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “,….. proudly sponsored by Pete’s Auto Body.

Not everyone rejoiced with the recent snowfall and cold snap.
Then again, the weather conditions of late have been welcomed heartily by the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association.
The C.S.R.A. will be staging their second event of the season this weekend, the Royal Distributing Cup, at Sauble Speedway.
In an irony, the Royal Distributing Cup was to have been staged earlier this year, but between COVID and weather conditions it was shifted to this weekend which created two major bonuses.
One, the amount of snow and the depth of that snow at the facility is vastly superior to last month.
And two, moving it to this weekend means the CSRA can operate 3 days of racing instead of 2, and utilize the holiday Monday for a full day of Family Day racing and entertainment.
There are other neat aspects to this affair, most notably the venue.
Apparently since 1969, there has never been a winter event at Sauble Speedway.
The organizers though have no fear, maintaining the venue and the expertise of the Association will create a first rate event for snowmobile racers and enthusiasts, many of whom are more likely to use the trail to get to Sauble Speedway with their sled rather than drive a car or truck.
It’s cold. And the snow has been piling up. For Royal Distributing Cup at Sauble Speedway on Family Day Weekend, that’s a great combination.
For Pete’s Auto Body, I’m Fred Wallace.
