A $10,000 donation has been received by the Bruce County Public Library and will assist with the launch of the library’s Bookmobile project.
The donation was given from the Bruce local Community Foundations Fund of The Society of United Professionals.
The Bookmobile project aims to bring books, technology and library services to where people are, with the goal of launching the project later this year.
Director of Library Services Brooke McLean says they have received overwhelming support from the communities they serve.
“We thank The Society of United Professionals for seeing the Bookmobile’s potential to make a difference to under served communities in Bruce County,” says McLean.
Board Chair Luke Charbonneau adds the library board is very grateful for this donation.
“Our communities are excited for a new Bookmobile service, and this contribution will help make it a reality,” says Charbonneau.
Residents who are interested in assisting the Bookmobile project can visit the Bruce County library website.
