Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “,….. proudly sponsored by Pete’s Auto Body.

Hockey is back in Meaford tonight.
The Knights return from an extended COVID-era layoff when they host the Bradford Bulls at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre at 7:30 this evening.
The revised Greater Metro Junior Hockey League schedule has Meaford playing 14 games between now and March 6th to conclude their season.
Three of those games this month, including tonight’s matchup, are head-to-head against the Bulls who are jockeying for 3rd in the North Division.
It’s unique that the Knights’ first game back is a big one in terms of the North Division standings
On a similar note, the PJHL returns from the COVID layoff tonight with a game in the Carruthers Division.
The Stayner Siskins are at Schomberg to meet the Cougars tonight.
As has been the case for a decade or more, Stayner and Alliston are neck and neck atop the division standings.
Meanwhile, the Pollock Division returns to action tomorrow night with 2 games; the Mount Forest Patriots are at Hanover to face the Barons tomorrow night while the Kincardine Bulldogs host the Goderich Flyers.
Meaford, Schomberg, Hanover & Kincardine- it’s great to ( finally ) see Junior Hockey back in the region.
For Pete’s Auto Body, I’m Fred Wallace.
