A couple of municipalities in Grey Bruce are reducing some in-person services until further notice.
The Town of Hanover says the Civic Centre on 341 10th Street will be closed.
Additionally, the Hanover Public Library will be providing curbside pickup by appointment only, with the service available at specific times on weekday mornings and afternoons. The town says patrons must call ahead of time to reserve an item, arrange print services and make appointments, or do so online.
Town staff will continue answering phones during regular office hours.
Hanover’s P&H Centre will remain open and is complying with provincial and municipal regulations. Residents looking to enter the facility will need to provide proof on vaccination and identification.
Then as of Jan. 4, the facility will only be accepting proof of vaccination which can be scanned by QR code.
Meanwhile, South Bruce Peninsula closed its town hall on Dec. 20. It won’t re-open until Jan. 9 at the earliest.
Staff will still be able to assist via telephone and email.
Council will continue to hold their meetings in the council chambers, but those looking to attend the meeting will be able to do so on a first come first served basis, as capacity is limited.
Both the Sauble Beach Community Centre and the Wiarton District Community Centre & Arena will remain open and operate within provincial and local health unit guidelines.
