Dear Families:
Early this morning, an anonymous threat was called into the Collingwood OPP related to Our Lady of Bay Catholic School. The threat was serious in nature and the police immediately began an investigation and have already completed a thorough sweep of the school property and building.
They have advised us that in-person classes can proceed today. Out of an abundance of caution, Collingwood OPP will be at the school for student and staff arrival this morning and a heightened police presence will be in effect both inside and outside the school throughout the day. In addition, the OPP and school will be implementing additional safety measures.
The safety of students and staff is our number one priority and it is also the priority of the police. We are committed to providing families with updates as they become available.
Sincerely,
Kerri Parent (Principal)
