A food drive is being held in Wasaga Beach this weekend by members of the Huronia West OPP Auxiliary Unit.
On Saturday November 27, 2021 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., officers will be participating in a food drive in preparation for the Christmas holidays.
Auxiliary members will be outside at the front of the Real Canadian Superstore, located at 25 – 45th Street South in Wasaga Beach.
They will be collecting toys, non-perishable food items, cash, or gift certificates which will be donated to The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank to support extra demands that our local food banks face during the Christmas season.
“The Ontario Provincial Police and members of your Huronia West Detachment would like to thank you, as generous members of our community, for helping to make every families’ holiday season special. In these unprecedented times, many families have fallen on tough times, and your generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you to our volunteer members at Huronia West Auxiliary Unit who have given their time and energy to organize this very important community event.”-Leah Gilfoy, Inspector Huronia West Detachment
