The Municipality of Meaford has a new Director of Development.
Rob Voigt will be joining municipal staff beginning October 4th.
A release from the municipality says Voigt a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of British Columbia and has been recognized internationally for successes with leading-edge projects in healthy community design, community engagement, Asset Based Community Development.
He is also a Registered Professional Planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
According to the municipality, his recent professional experience includes Director of Planning with Parkbridge Communities, Planning Consultant and Manager of Planning and Infrastructure Projects with the Town of Collingwood.
They say Voigt has led numerous comprehensive official plan updates; the development and implementation of multiple mixed-use and waterfront master plans; council strategic plans; and, many strategic initiatives focused on sustainability, place-based economic development, and organizational development.
Voigt will be leading the Planning, Building and By-law Services divisions with the Municipality of Meaford, as well as working with Council and serving the community.
