The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new Covid cases and nine resolved ones on Tuesday.
The region’s active known case load is down to 38. Five Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and one other is receiving care outside the area.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit does not provide specific data in its daily Covid disclosure about whether new cases and hospitalizations are among unvaccinated people, which the provincial government started doing recently.
More than 221,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Today, there are drop-in vaccination clinics running at the P & H Centre in Hanover from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Blue Mountains Conference Centre from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Kaufman’s Indepedent Grocer in Walkerton from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Twenty Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Tuesday are reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Monday.
