The next Household Hazardous Waste Day event at the Southampton Works Yard has been cancelled.
A release notes the event which was supposed to occur today, has been relocated to Kincardine as there was a change in the dates between the printing of the Saugeen Shores environmental calendar and the final schedule for the hazardous waste day events.
The next event is set for Oct. 2 at the Southampton Works Yard.
The materials which can be disposed of include:
-Aerosol cans (full or partially full)
-Batteries
-Bleach
-Brake fluid
-Cosmetics and beauty products
-Detergents
-Disinfectants
-Glues and adhesives
-Household cleaners (includes oven, drain, floor, glass and toilet cleaners)
-Paints (liquid and solid)
-Pesticides, insecticides and herbicides
-Propane tanks
-Prescription medicines
-Windshield washer fluid
