It’s not the 500-plus cars that showed up last week’s drive-in clinic, but officials say it was steady going for today’s drive through event.
It was busy at the start and then reduced to a steady pace for the rest of the day until 3pm.
Southampton doctor Amy Gowan says they had plenty of vaccine to administer and many took advantage of it.
Dr. Gowan says vaccines are “the best way to protect yourself against the Corona virus…..especially in our community where we are a Delta hotspot.”
One of those who showed up for his second vaccine was Tyler Hearn of Southampton.
He thought it was time because he was the only one left of his family that didn’t have the second shot.
Sporting a red t-shirt that says “Protect us both. Stay 2 metres apart,” Hearn says he hopes everyone gets the vaccine whenever they can.
The clinic was held in the parking lot of the Nuclear Innovation Institute building.
Public Health Grey Bruce is holding numerous mass vaccination clinics throughout the region until August 1st. A weekly schedule can be found on Public Health’s website, by clicking the large green COVID-19 Vaccine Schedule button.
