An Owen Sound senior is being recognized as one of Seasons Retirement Community Remarkable Residents’ for quiltmaking.
A release notes during Senior’s Month in Ontario, Seasons has launched a program to celebrate residents and the lives they have impacted,
In the ninth year of the program, Jean Kuglin is being acknowledged for her creativity and talents in painting to knitting as he has crafted more than 75 quilts, gifting them to people and the places they are from, sending them as far as England and Italy.
Kuglin says quilts are a beautiful way to tell stories and connect with other people.
“Every quilt I’ve ever made is unique to the remarkable person receiving it, and it’s been my goal to make them feel special. I’m unbelievably proud that my passion has allowed me to be recognized by Season Owen Sound for having my own remarkable story,” says Kuglin.
