The 41st Annual Bowl for Kid’s Sake from Big Brothers Big Sister Grey Bruce, is going virtual.
In the wake of the current lockdown, the organization still plans on holding the event with participants joining in on the fun from home.
Running from April 10th to the 30th, participants will be able to play an online blowing game on the organizations website, with a Nintendo Wii game system, or by creating your own bowling alley at home.
Cala Bryans, Assistant at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce says this event operates as one of the organizations’ main fundraisers with participants collecting pledges, and they go towards helping run their programs.
She notes that as things are a little different this year their goal for funds has decreased to under $15,000, to which they have already raised a couple thousand, “we have four teams playing, and some older residents and other individuals taking part,” says Bryans.
If you are feeling confident in your bowling skills, you can also join the Bill Murdoch Challenge. With a $25 fee, you will be able to sign up and bowl against the former Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP for your chance to win a prize.
If you want to take part in the event, Bryans confirms anyone can join at anytime between now and the 30th.
