It’s Pink Shirt Day!
The annual event raises money for anti-bullying programs across the country.
This year’s theme is “lift each other up”, which encourages a healthy self esteem and teaches empathy, compassion and kindness.
Pink Shirt Day started at a school in Nova Scotia in 2007 before growing into a worldwide event, raising over $2.5 million for youth anti-bullying programs.
With one in five students affected by bullying, chances are that you or someone you know is being impacted. If you’re not sure what to do, reach out to someone who can help.
