Saugeen Shores Police say a 22-year-old man from Edmonton wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was arrested in Port Elgin on Wednesday.
Police say the man was wanted for “several violent offences” and officers attended a Port Elgin residence on Wednesday in an attempt to locate him.
Saugeen Shores Police say they were contacted by the Edmonton Police Service on Tuesday for assistance, as it was believed the wanted man was at a residence in Port Elgin.
Police say the 22-year-old from Edmonton was arrested without incident and is being held in custody pending return by Edmonton Police to answer to charges.
