It’s a Snow Day in Simcoe County and Muskoka.
All school buses and vans in Simcoe County have been cancelled today, along with all school vehicles to schools in Muskoka for Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
Vehicles to St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School, Monsignor Michael O’Leary and Saint Mary Catholic Elementary Schools have also been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
A Special Weather Statement remains in effect for most of southern Ontario, while Barrie, Collingwood and Hillsdale are all under a Snowfall Warning.
Environment Canada says additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are a possibility Tuesday through Wednesday morning, with strong northerly winds gusting near 70 km/h possible, particularly near Lake Huron or Georgian Bay.
Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions and more details on road conditions can be found in our “News” section above.
