It’s a chance to make a real local difference during the Covid-19 pandemic.
There are currently positions to be filled at the Pines Long Term Care (LTC) Home in Bracebridge.
Like all areas of healthcare, COVID-19 has put additional pressures on LTC homes across Ontario.
The District of Muskoka which operates the Pines, says residents and staff there continue to stay safe and healthy.
They are currently finding new creative ways to connect and support each other while continuing to work safely.
The District says the Pines has stayed ahead of the curve keeping access to the home highly controlled, while all staff and essential visitors are screened when entering the home.
As well, new provincial regulations require all employees there to only work at the Pines and not other LTC homes.
These measures were put into place at the Pines two weeks before the provincial requirements were announced.
The Pines also have the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supply necessary to protect staff, essential visitors and residents. Staff and essential visitors are also wearing masks at all times in the home.
Increased COVID-19 testing is now available throughout the Province and staff and residents at the Pines remain a priority group for testing if needed.
