June is Seniors month and to help mark the event, the 10th annual United Way Bruce Grey Seniors Fair is being held today from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound.
It will be filled with over 85 exhibitors, including over 50 government and non profit organizations who focus on services, products, care and support available to help seniors in Bruce and Grey Counties.
There are many new exhibitors taking part, along with many who have been involved in the event for 10 years.
Doors open at 9:45 a.m. and 300 flowers, and special Welcome Bags will be handed out throughout the day.
There are 4 seminars beginning at 10:30 a.m. and running until 2:30 p.m.
One involves Grey county OPP about Scams, another is the Ministry of Transportation on the Senior License Renewal Process for those 80 years of age and older.
Two other seminars are about memory and there is entertainment on stage all day.
The United Way of Bruce Grey through the sponsorship of Forcier Grant Grey Bruce Law in Owen Sound is offering free transit for all riders today.
Both the fully accessible Conventional and Mobility Transit services will operate at no charge to transit riders.
