The annual Owen Sound Crescent Club Banquet is set for Friday May 25th.

Roger Lajoie will be the guest speaker

Tickets for the night are available from any club member or at the door.


The annual Chesley Community Classic will be staged on Saturday May 26th at Chesley Community Kinsmen Park.

The event will be staged in memory of Brianne Gardhouse.

Registration for the 5 & 10K runs starts at 7 am

Registration for the 1K event runs from 7-10 am.

5K @ 9:05 am
1K @ 10:30 am


The Owen Sound Flying Dutchmen Lacrosse Team will celebrate their 25th anniversary of winning the 1993 Founders Cup as Canadian Junior B Lacrosse Champions in May.

A team reunion has been scheduled for Saturday May 26th at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

The reunion will coincide with the current Junior B NorthStars game that night against Spartan.


The annual Crimestoppers of Grey Bruce Golf Tournament is Friday June 1st.

The venue for the tournament has been changed to the Saugeen Golf Club.

Among the special guests scheduled to be on hand will be prominent Canadian sports announcer Brian Williams


On Saturday June 2nd Scenic City Golf Course on Highway 26 will host the annual Owen Sound Senior North Stars Golf Tournament.

The Owen Sound Attack annual Softball Tournament and Awards BBQ which will take place on Sunday, June 3rd at Duncan McLellan Park and at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

The day will get underway with the team's annual softball tournament at Duncan McLellan Park at 11am before shifting to the floor of the Bayshore at 1pm for lunch and the awards ceremony.

Tickets for the lunch and awards ceremony will be $15 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 13 and will be available for purchase in advance at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office or at the door on the day of the BBQ.


On Saturday June 9th, the West Grey Durham Lions will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with a dinner and short program at the Walter's Falls Inn.


Registration for the Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse Father's Day Heritage Classic Tournament is now open.

The tournament runs June 15-17th with age divisions from Tyke- Midget

The annual Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk will be staged Saturday, July 14th from 7:45am - 11:30am at the Meaford Harbour Pavilion

Come to the Farmer’s Market at the Harbour between 4 and 7 p.m. on Friday, July 13th to pick up your race kit

Or registration can also be done on race day morning from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

The Run will start at 9 a.m. and the Walk will start at 9:02 am.

All proceeds raised from this event support the Meaford Hospital Foundation.

The 23rd Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Tournament for Muscular Dystrophy research will be held on Friday July 20th at Saugeen Golf Club in Port Elgin.

Through the years, the tournament has generated funding of almost $1.4 million dollars for MD research.


The OASA Midget Fastball Championship Tournament will be staged in Owen Sound.

The Championship Tournament will be staged at Duncan McLellan Park July 28th & 29th.


The Gran Fondo Lake Huron is Sunday August 19th.

The cycling event which features 30K, 70K, 110K & 160K distances begins & finishes in Southampton

The Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival Is going " Western " this year.

The 2018 invasion will start during the first week of September and continue till after the Thanksgiving weekend.

The parade on Sykes Street and Family Festival Hoedown at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion is scheduled for Friday, September 28.

The 2018 Ontario Minor Track Association Provincial Cross Country Meet will be hosted by the Meaford Coyotes on Saturday October 27th.

The Coyotes will utilize the Georgian Bay Community School Athletic Field and part of the Georgian Trail.


The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be Saturday October 27th.
