Friday night at the Chesley Arena, the Arran-Elderslie IceDog PeeWees will face the Chatsworth Rebels in a game designed to support the family of Brooklyn Hutton, as Brooklyn deals with cancer.

The initial concept of a hockey game and bake sale that arose some 2 weeks ago has escalated quickly into a major event.

Game time Friday night is 6 pm.

Admission is $5 for adults, & $ 2 for kids under 10.

The annual Georgian Bay Nordic Jack Rabbitt event is set for Saturday February 24th at the Saw Mill Trails at Hepworth.

The fun & competition begins at 10 am and runs to noon.

The annual Bowl for Big Brothers & Big Sisters is set for Saturday March 3rd at the Bowling Alley.

Registration commences at 9:30 am with the first bowling session set for 10 am.

The Kilsyth Young Guns and Kilsyth Flyers are proud to be the host teams for the 2018 Canadian Juvenile Broomball Championship Tournament in Owen Sound.

The Young Guns will host the Girls tournament while the Boys Championship will be hosted by the Flyers April 4th-7th at both the Bayshore & Regional Rec Centre.

More than a dozen teams from across the country will compete for the National titles.

The 23rd Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Tournament for Muscular Dystrophy research will be held on Friday July 20th at Saugeen Golf Club in Port Elgin.

Through the years, the tournament has generated funding of almost $1.4 million dollars for MD research.

The OASA Midget Fastball Championship Tournament will be staged in Owen Sound.

The Championship Tournament will be staged at Duncan McLellan Park July 28th & 29th.

The 2018 Ontario Minor Track Association Provincial Cross Country Meet will be hosted by the Meaford Coyotes.

The Coyotes won the right to host the meet following an MTA vote on Sunday.

The date for the 2018 Provicnials will be Saturday October 27th and the Coyotes will utilize the Georgian Bay Community School Athletic Field and part of the Georgian Trail.
