Owen Sound will host the Softball Canada Under 19 Championship Tournament August 5th to 11th,

The 3rd annual " Golf FORE Kids Sake " Tournament will be held on Saturday at Scenic City Golf Course in Owen Sound

Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

Harbourfest on Saturday offers delicious food, local brews, live music and great company along the water's edge. 

Activities include a tug-of-war in the bay. 

The evening will cap off with a musical performance from Who Made Who, an AC/DC tribute band 

This rain or shine event will be free for all to attend.

The 2nd annual Mount Forest Ribfest is Thursday, July 18th at the Mount Forest District Sports Complex.

The event runs from 6-9 pm and serves as great kickoff to the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival 

Tickets are $ 15 and include dinner or rib sampler plate

Tickets are available at Mount Forest Chiropractic, Meat The Butcher, Moose Mountain, plus M & M Meat Shops in Mount Forest.

Last year, the event raised $3,600 for minor sports programs and cancer patients in the Mount Forest region

The 24th annual Rotary Club of Port Elgin-Jeff Preston Golf Tournament will be staged on Friday July 19th at Saugeen Golf Club. 

Among the prizes & auction items available will be a pro golf bag and hat signed by PGA tour golfer Corey Conners from Listowel courtesy of Steve Marshman and RBC golf.

The opening ceremony for the tournament  is Tuesday August 6th at 6.30 pm at Duncan McLellan Park.

The Georgian Bay Coyotes Track Club will be hosting their 9th annual Coyote Cross Country Race on Saturday, September 28th at the Georgian Bay Community School athletic field.

The race is open to all Grade JK-8 runners in Grey-Bruce.

There were more than 400 runners registered last year. 

There is a maximum of 500 runners that will be registered so we would encourage your athletes to register on-line at the Coyotes website, www.georgianbaycoyotes.com, as soon as possible in the new school year.

All race information will listed on our website by August 25th

The race distances are:
JK-SK = 800m 
Grade 1-2 = 1km
Grade 3-4 = 1.55km
Grade 5-6 = 1.95km
Grade 7-8 = 2.92km

There is no entry fee, but we do encourage a “free-will donation” to our club at the entrance to the race site to help cover some of our race costs. 

Race entry deadline is Wednesday, September 25th and there is no race-day registration.
