Half way through the month of July, so let's take a look at the local sports landscape.
There's Bluewater Fastball League action tonight with the Chepstow Aces at Tara to face the Merchants plus the
Durham Dodgers at Elmwood to go against the Smoke.
Fastball fans are gearing up for;
The OASA Midgets in Owen Sound July 28 & 29,
The Tom Simms Memorial at Meaford July 27-29
The PWSA Ladies event at Duncan McLellan Park August 3rd-5th
& the ISC World Championship at Kitchener August 11th-18th
After Thursday's Great Lakes Concrete Series event, Sauble Speedway comes right back with another card tomorrow night.
Also tomorrow night, Hanover Raceway has 10 races including the $ 10,000 Sharpe's Pacing Series Final.
Girls Field Lacrosse gets a heavy profile as well this weekend with 2 days at the Kiwanis Complex.
The highlight game is Sunday when the Owen Sound Under 19 Girls meet a visiting squad from Harrogate, England.
And in Senior Lacrosse, the Owen Sound NorthStars have one regular season game remaining; Sunday afternoon at home to Brooklin, a game that could determine the difference between finishing 3rd or 4th in the league standings
Game time Sunday is 4 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
And finally, in the Kitchener & District Soccer League, Owen Sound Grey Motors United will be at Kitchener to meet the Supersonics Sunday afternoon.
