Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
I'm fully aware that hockey is a team game, and success in a hockey season can only be measured by what the group accomplishes as opposed to the individual.
Having said that, in a compelling season of success for the Owen Sound Attack, there are a number of remarkable individual accomplishments.
We've spoken frequently about netminder Michael McNiven.
With each victory, McNiven pads his franchise record for wins by a goalie, now sitting at 34.
He's also 1 shutout shy of tying the franchise record for a season and his goals against average is a hair lower than Jordan Binnington's existing franchise mark of 2.17.
Next, captain Santino Centorame.
Centorame needs 6 assists to crack the Top 10 for assists in a season and more significantly, he's just 3 assists short of Chris Bigras' career mark for assists by a defenceman and 13 points off Bigras's franchise record for career points by a blueliner.
Jonah Gadjovich needs 2 points for 100 in his career.
And how about this- Nathan Chiarlitti currently holds the franchise record for best plus-minus in a season at + 41. As of this moment, Nick Suzuki is sitting at + 42......
There's a quick cross section of records, milestones and pending moments for Attack individuals, but clearly what counts more is the pursuit of 2 more points tonight when Owen Sound visits Peterborough to face the Petes.
