Tell us about yourself:  I’m a world traveler… if you call going from Toronto to Hamilton to Owen Sound to Orillia travelling the world. I love sports and I love to talk about it as you will find out pretty soon!

Born: October 3rd in North York, Ontario but grew up in Scarberia! (AKA Scarborough)

Real ambition: To take over as the play-by-play voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs or become Sidney Crosby’s agent.

Last purchase: A bottle of Coke from Dollarama.

Favourite word/phrase/quote: “Touch ‘em all Joe, you’ll never hit a bigger home run in your life,” – Blue Jays Broadcaster Tom Cheek calling Joe Carter’s World Series winning home run October 23, 1993

First Job: Making pizzas at Pizza Hut in Scarborough

Before Sunshine: I was taking classes in sports management at Durham College in Oshawa. While in school, I produced the Oshawa Generals radio broadcasts and later hosted the TV broadcasts. Upon graduating, I worked in media relations at the Canadian Professional Golf Tour.

Indulgence: An MGD and a Partagas with my feet up… no better way to relax.

What you love about being on the radio: You get to play around with lots of cool gadgets.

Hidden talent: If I have my hands full, I can open a door with my feet.

Unverified claim to fame: Was the former record holder in the boys standing long jump in the grade 4 category at the Scarborough Track and Field Championships.

Pets: None

Favorite place in Orillia: Hanging out along the shores of Lake Couchiching.

If I could change the world: I would inspire others to take the initiative, don’t let others do it for you… lead by example.

Your perfect day: Driving along the highway with the windows rolled down enjoying the sunshine.
