A veteran of the broadcasting business, Bob has worked in Toronto at stations that include CFTR and CHFI, in Montreal at CJAD and CKGM and in Ottawa, his hometown. Bob says his four years at CFRA taught him the best ways to communicate with an audience.
In 2005, Bob and his wife Kathryn and their faithful companion Dixie, the golden retriever, moved to Collingwood. His old friend Craig Smith encouraged him to join Bayshore Broadcasting in Owen Sound and so he took over the morning show in November of that year, and officially retired from the show in 2013. He has enjoyed meeting his listeners in Grey, Bruce, and Simcoe counties and looks forward to more years behind the microphone.
Bob and Kathryn have two beautiful daughters and two wonderful granddaughters, and their hobbies include golf and Kathryn’s lovely watercolours. She says there are so many beautiful scenes in this part of Ontario – she never runs out of subjects! Bob and Kathryn agree the move from Toronto to Georgian Bay was a wise decision and they have absolutely no regrets.
