Tell us about yourself: I think I always knew I was meant to be a broadcast journalist. I took the course at Fanshawe College in London right out of high school and loved it. I worked in the industry for a couple of years before life intervened and I got out of the business.  But doing office work just didn’t cut it for me. I longed to be on the air and covering events and being out in the community. So I went back to school and did a one year post-grad. My path led me to Wasaga Beach where I’ve been with 97.7 The Beach for four and a half years. I have fallen in love with this area and am proud to bring our listeners news of area events. My passion is the features I produce for our talk show, Georgian Bay 2 Day, which runs weekday mornings after the 9 o’clock news.

Born: In London, Ontario on April 23rd.

Real ambition: To someday fly with the Snowbirds (as a passenger).

Last purchase: Makeup and underwear.

Favourite word/phrase/quote: I love it when a plan comes together.

First Job: A cashier at McDonald’s.

Before you were at The Beach: I was living in London, working as a Receptionist at a law firm before going back to school to update my journalism skills.

Indulgence: Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate (Did I mention I like chocolate?)

What you love about being on the radio: Meeting people in the community and telling their story.

Hidden talent: I can play the Lone Ranger theme song with my tongue rolled against my teeth.

Unverified claim to fame: Your guess is as good as mine!

Pets: Pet rock.

Favourite place in Southern Georgian Bay: Beach 5 in Wasaga Beach and Metcalfe Rock in the Blue Mountains.

If I could change the world:  I would end bullying and world hunger.

Your perfect day: Sitting on the beach with a book in my hands (and lots of sunscreen on of course).
