Another loss for the Owen Sound Attack.
Barret Kirwin scored game-tying goal with just 16 seconds left in regulation as part of a hat trick, and Isaac Ratcliffe had the shootout winner as the Guelph Storm beat the Attack 6-5 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The Attack (13-10-1-3) suffered their fifth straight loss.
Ratcliffe and Dmitri Samorukov also added goals for Guelph (14-10-1-2), which had 3-2 and 4-3 leads in the second period before the Attack scored twice in the third to take a 5-4 lead.
Jonah Gadjovich scored twice for Owen Sound, while Sean Durzi, Matthew Struthers and Daylon Groulx had goals as well.
Anthony Popovich made 48 saves in the win, while Riley Daniels stopped 19 taking the loss. Mack Guzda made 12 saves after entering the game in the second period.
Owen Sound outshot Guelph 53-36 while going 1 for 4 on the power play; Guelph finished 1 for 3.
The Attack have a few days off now before another matchup against the Storm on Friday in Guelph.
