The sudden turn in the weather conditions has the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation Authority paying extra attention to water levels, especially in flood-prone areas of the watersheds.
The forecast contains very mild temperatures for this time of the year, along with a prediction
of 15 to 30 millimetres of rainfall.
Those conditions are expected to last until sometime Thursday, and high water levels will persist through the weekend.
The ABCA says a major flooding event is not likely, but there could be some overflow in the usual flood-plain areas.
