Wellington North Fire says no one was injured in a truck fire this morning along Highway 6 in Mount Forest.
Deputy Fire Chief Callise Loos says Mount Forest firefighters responded to the vehicle fire at 7:49 a.m. Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 6 and Sligo Road.
“Upon arrival, the vehicle was fully involved and it was determined to be a natural gas recycling truck that was on fire, however, the truck was empty having just dumped its load,” says Loos. “The driver was out of the vehicle on arrival.”
She adds a nearby home also received minimal damage as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and they do not have a damage estimate as of yet.
The about 10 firefighters who attended the blaze were back in service by 10:12 a.m.
